
The importance of grassroots development to the wellbeing of a nation cannot be over emphasized hence the need for provision of quality and accessible healthcare to the residents of grassroot communities.
The Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu while playing host to chiefs and delegates from Joga orile and Ikenne communities, two of the recipient communities of FMC grassroot healthcare development initiative, promised not to relent in his effort of taking quality healthcare facilities to the grassroot communities within the state.
Aremo Adebiyi Ayankanmi who spoke on behalf of the delegates from Joga Orile expressed his joy on the second term reappointment of the MD, stating that it is the will of God. He prayed for a successful second term and greater appointments for the MD. He also presented a congratulatory letter to the MD on behalf of Oba Alanis Olanrewaju Adekeye (The Abepa of Joga land), the ruler of Joga Orile.
Speaking on behalf of the Ikenne community, Dr. Abdulsalam Abdulrasheed, the Consultant in charge of the community healthcare in Ikenne, appreciated the MD for the marvelous works in the Ikenne community and prayed for a successful second term for the MD.
In his response, the MD urged members of the public to always reach out to influential members of their community for assistance whenever the need arises citing that the telemedicine complex facilicitated by Senator Lanre Tejuoso among others. While reiterating his promise of quality heath care delivery, Prof. Musa-Olomu said the establishment of grassroot healthcare development will provide job opportunities and reduce unemployment to the bearest minimum. He thank God, pledged to do more and perform better in his second term.
